Pick your Outlook below. It takes about 20 seconds. You'll add one small file (the add-in manifest) — then the red Rover dog appears on your ribbon.

🌐 Outlook on the web

  1. Open outlook.com / outlook.office.com.
  2. Click Apps (or Settings ⚙ → Manage add-ins / Get add-ins).
  3. Go to My add-ins → Custom add-ins → Add a custom add-in → Add from URL.
  4. Paste the manifest URL above and confirm.
  5. Open an email — say hi to Rover on the ribbon. 🐕

🪟 New Outlook (Windows)

  1. Click Apps on the ribbon (or Settings ⚙ → Add-ins).
  2. Choose Get add-ins → My add-ins → Custom add-ins.
  3. Select Add a custom add-in → Add from URL (or from file).
  4. Paste the manifest URL (or pick the downloaded file).
  5. Confirm — Rover shows up when you read or write mail.

💻 Classic Outlook (Windows)

  1. File → Get Add-ins → My add-ins → Custom Addins.
  2. Add a custom add-in → Add from file…
  3. Pick the downloaded ADogNamedRover.xml.
  4. Trust it, then restart Outlook.
  5. Open or compose a message — there's Rover. 🎉
